Intake Support Services
Providing stability in times of transition, because every child deserves to feel secure from day one.
When a child enters one of our foster homes, we understand the critical importance of those first hours and days. Community Connections is committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for both the child and foster family through our comprehensive intake support services.
24/7 On-Call Support
Our dedicated team is available around the clock to provide guidance, answer questions, and offer emotional support during this crucial adjustment period. We recognize that challenges don't follow a 9-to-5 schedule, which is why we're always just a phone call away.
Essential Items Program
Children often arrive with few or no personal belongings. Rather than having foster families rush to stores during this sensitive time, we provide essential items to help children feel comfortable and secure in their new environment. This allows families to focus on what matters most—building trust and creating a nurturing space for the child.
Our essential items may include:
Age-appropriate clothing
Diapers, wipes, and other infant necessities
Comfort toys and age-appropriate activities
Safety equipment for the home
Sleeping essentials like cribs or bassinets for infants
First aid supplies
Communication tools like baby monitors
School supplies and backpacks for school-aged children
Every child's needs are unique, and our intake support is tailored to ensure both children and foster families have what they need during this transition. Our goal is to remove practical barriers so that the focus remains on creating a safe, loving environment where healing and connection can begin.
