FOSTER PARENTS
Richard and Sherry Gooddine have served as foster parents with Community Connections since 2002. During that time, Richard and Sherry have fostered 12 children of various ages, and provided respite care for many additional children. Richard and Sherry have always had an interest and love for working with children and shared,
“The best part of being a foster parent is sharing our lives with the children in our care and making them a part of our family.”
Richard and Sherry have been instrumental in providing a loving and stable home for children in foster care, and have displayed excellent family centered practice as they have helped many children prepare for reunification with their birth families, or transition to adoptive homes. Richard and Sherry were nominated by the Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA) and were recognized as Foster Caregivers of the Year in 2017 for their outstanding service provided to children in their foster home.
